Fire Retardent Vinyl Ester Resins
Brominated MFE Vinyl Ester Resins meeting industry needs for high corrosion resistance, matched to strong flame retardancy.
These resin provides resistance to a wide range of acids, alkalies, bleaches and organic compounds, etc.
Used extensively in FRP ductwork stacks and stack-liner applications.
Suitable for equipment handling mixtures of air and hot gases, building panels, and flooring compounds where a a degree of ignition-inhibiting properties is essential.
Please read the Safety Data Sheet.
Resin Storage
Vinyl ester resins should be stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight, the storage temperatures should be maintained below 25°C and it should be kept away from all sources of heat which might create localized hot spots.
The shelf life may be shortened when improper storage or transportation has occurred, with resulting polymerization. Exposure to direct sunlight or other sources of high temperature can lead to dangerous exotherms, with rapid polymerization.
Copper and alloy containing copper should be avoided contact the resin.
Vinyl Ester Resins should be stored separately from oxidizing materials, peroxides and metals.
Shelf life is 3 months from Composites Plus' manufacturing date.
